SAN JOSE, CA: Collaj, an enterprise and educational video company, joins forces with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology company Instructure- a maker of the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). With this, Collaj now offers its unique multi-stream lecture capture and flipped learning solution to educational institutions using the Canvas LMS.
Collaaj co-founder Aditya Kadambi says, “Videos are truly the ‘documents’ of this generation and are a great way to increase the learning and retention rates in school. With most modern institutions, adopting some form of video creation and sharing, integrating video capture and streaming directly into LMS can truly provide the best learning experience for both faculty and students”
Canvas LMS has simplified the process of teaching and learning by connecting all digital tools a teacher uses, in one easy place. For using Canvas, a teacher can log into and launch the lecture capture application with a simple click, and record screen captures and presentation captures, along with multiple simultaneous cameras and seamlessly edit and publish these multi-stream videos directly back into Canvas. Likewise students can also log into Canvas to watch their course lectures. In keeping with the spirit of flipped learning, Collaj can be used to record long format lectures or quick short videos, explaining various topics in a course. Applied with a unique PowerPoint indexing capability, Collaj enables in-video search to find the text within PowerPoint slides, including speaker notes.
“We are thrilled to have Collaaj integrate their unique multi-stream lecture capture and flipped learning solution into Canvas,” says Melissa Loble, VP of Partners and Programs for Instructure.
