CHESTERVILLE, MO: Ouriginal, Europe's pioneering provider of text-matching solutions for plagiarism prevention and text-similarity detection, publishes a study today. Using numerical analysis of Ouriginal's offerings, the study reveals how lockdowns and the forced digitalization of learning environments have impacted education across the globe. The three metrics selected for the study indicate that. In contrast, EdTech solutions have extensively increased their overall acceptance level, and students require their teachers' guidance and encouragement even more in digital learning environments.

The classroom's sudden digitalization is a unique testing ground for remote teaching and learning for educators and students worldwide. Within this setting, EdTech software offerings have also seen a sudden transformation in their usage and importance. Ouriginal's software solutions were among those. The sudden shift from traditional classroom teaching to a fully remote and digital environment has been a challenging test for educators and students alike.

"We were curious to see if there was any measurable effect of the pandemic on our product usage. We wanted to know, Would we see more documents being checked during times of lockdowns or less? Would it affect the length of student's assignments and papers? When looking at the numbers, we were actually amazed at what we found." says Andreas Ohlson, CEO of Ouriginal

The study used a numerical method to Ouriginal's solutions' usage patterns, comparing three vital metrics in 2020 with those of the previous year 2019. The three findings of the study are the increase in EdTech solutions' usage over the years jumped suddenly to a much higher degree when the pandemic started. High usage continues, which shows a breakthrough in the usage of EdTech solutions like Ouriginal's. Secondly, during the pandemic, written essays become shorter, but this effect was not long-lasting and was linked to homeschooling periods. Thirdly more data volumes are being processed by EdTech solutions indicating the importance and role of technical tools in education.

Ouriginal is an organization that empathizes with students and delivers a practical tool to spark personal development in academia. "We believe that promoting and developing original thinking isn't just the responsibility of a single person, parents, teachers, or mentors.
