The educational institutions are using digital tools so that they can increase student engagement.

FREMONT, CA: There is a shift in the education industry towards digital strategies that encourage learning and keep students active. As a part of their work, students are keen to learn new skills and search for time-saving and cost-effective alternatives. Students are now exploring various digital platforms to research the programs they are interested in while online learning is becoming more common. In order to draw prospective students and locate them where they spend the most time during the study process, digital marketing is now essential for education companies.

The latest trends in education demand

Education demand is changing, due to which there is a gradual drop in post-secondary enrollment for four-year college programs. It means fewer than 18 million students are enrolled, the lowest number of the decade, in traditional, for-profit higher education institutions. Many can think that the demand for education is decreasing, but it is just the opposite.

The demand for boot camps for coding continues to rise. It is predicted that students and graduates of coding boot camps increased from 2012 to 2019. It is estimated that the growth rate will continue at 3-6 percent per year. Therefore, what is being witnessed is a change in the education sector and how people want to learn new skills.

If the education companies want to create new skills, save time, and access various payment options, coding boot camps are very attractive. It can be tempting for potential students to have the choice of developing new skills in a faster and more cost-effective way.

For many learners, payment plans, and the Income Share Agreement (ISA) can make coding boot camps a more accessible choice. A growing number of boot camp programs are adding ISA as an additional form of payment in 2019.

The rise of e-learning

The rise of e-learning is another reason people are noticing a change in the education industry and how it was traditionally portrayed. With a more digital approach, more individuals want to build their skills.

The digital method consists of the following:

• Short courses

• Online mentoring

• Self-paced learning

• Virtual classes and chats

People have access to more digital tools in regular lives as they are looking for similar tools to increase their skills. People are getting accustomed to accessing data as quickly as possible, which also influences how they learn new things.

It means that students who usually take a normal 4-year university course are now evaluating faster, affordable, and less established options in today's market to educate themselves.
