Founded in 1998, Edulink is a software company built by educators, for educators. The firm has transformed the face of education by offering a myriad of web-based software solutions that helps school districts, intermediate units, charter schools, cyber schools, and CTCs, streamline and manage their administrative workflows with ease. “Our solutions include teacher evaluation software aligned specifically with Pennsylvania’s Act 82 (PA-ETEP); and compliance software (Comply) that tracks clearances, state mandates, Act 48 hours, Act 44 safety and security items, and requests for items such as field trips, reimbursements, and work orders," says Dr. Reed Hankinson, the CEO at Edulink.
Edulink’s flagship suite of teacher evaluation tools, PA-ETEP, is utilized by nearly 80 percent of all the school districts in Pennsylvania. In fact, they are “Pennsylvania’s #1 Choice for Evaluation Management.” The application comes with several modules that enable supervisors to easily record and document evidence pertaining to the educator's practices in the classroom. Administrators and principals can quickly access all of this information while preparing summative reports on the teachers. The tool can be utilized as a part of the formal observation, differentiated observation, NTPE observation, monitoring of student learning objectives (SLOs), or as a standalone rubric.
What makes Edulink unique in this market is its ability to adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments. Take the COVID-19 outbreak, for instance. Since the pandemic began, educators and administrators have been forced to embrace a new remote work model of teaching and supporting students/faculty virtually—making day-to-day tasks very challenging. To successfully assist educators in this transition, Edulink has incorporated an Online Educator Rubric within PA-ETEP for educators who are teaching remotely. Furthermore, all 82 forms in PA-ETEP have been programmed to adhere to the new regulations set forth by the PDE and the new Act 13 standards. This modification enables supervisors to receive automatically calculated final scores on teachers based on their observations and practices. Edulink made all these changes into its PA-ETEP software in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, within a matter of weeks, which ultimately prevented workflow disruption in 80 percent of the State’s school districts.

On the other front, Edulink caters to educators and administrators who have a strong need for PA clearance tracking and compliance tools. Comply is an easy-to-use tool that allows users to perform PA clearance tracking and manage Act 48 continuing education hours and other compliance items in one place. It also allows clients to successfully set up and organize in-service activities that enable their staff to access agendas and feedback forms.
Comply offers a secure, web-based data management system that tracks, manages, and reports Act 48 continuing education credits/hours of certified educators and paraeducators. The employees of each school district can utilize Comply to submit all continuing education hours directly to the Pennsylvania Department of Education's PERMS system.
Furthermore, teachers, administrators and other staff can electronically sign-off on important documents, notices, and surveys on their dashboard and complete their professional development training. Comply also ensures that all teachers receive three major federal clearances of Act 151, Act 114, and Act 34. With this tool, teachers can log in to their dashboards, scan, and upload their clearances, after which the school districts can verify and approve them.
Comply has yet another module of functionality that proves to be very beneficial for school districts—the new Requests module allows school staff to submit digital requests through Comply. This tool is a unique version of paperless requests enabling submission and approval of request forms. It can be used with virtually any request item including: credit approval, field trip, work order, conference request, comp time, and many more.
Edulink’s innovative solutions, prowess, and expertise are the cornerstone for the trustworthy relationships it has with clients. As per Dr.Hankinson, “the company's success is, in part, a result of its philosophy to include school leaders in the process of building end-to-end solutions for educators. We work with the educators to build tools that they need”. With a fundamental grounding as educators backed by an enthusiastic team, the company looks to expand its offerings across the United States to assist schools in effectively carrying out uninterrupted and seamless solutions. “With our in-depth knowledge of the education process and administrative workflows, Edulink will continue to strive to ensure complete satisfaction for both our current and future clients,” concludes Dr. Hankinson.
