FREMONT, CA: In the education sector, almost all the edtech stakeholders plan their years around the conferences they hope to attend. Some meetings focus on specific education niches, and others are general catch-all events. Nearly all promote themselves as leaders, among the most popular, and preeminent in the field of edtech and education conferences.

Here is a list of some biggest Edtech conferences

• BETT

The British Education Technology and Trade show is one of the biggest edtech conferences in the world. In 2020 BETT will occur on January 22 – 25, the conference expects to draw over 34,000 people. At this size, BETT is far and away from the biggest edtech conference. It will host several events, talks, and how-tos. Besides a large exhibition floor, the BETT program also features a leadership series, seminars, professional development courses, an awards show, and many other speakers.

• ISTE

Approximately 16,500 people traveled to Philadelphia this fall to attend ISTE 2019. It makes the conference the second-most popular in the sector. ISTE 2020 will take place between June 28 and July 1 in Anaheim, Calif. The conference featured approximately 1,900 sessions.

• SXSW EDU

In 2019 12,927 individuals flocked to Austin, Texas, for SXSW EDU. The event featured 1,202 speakers and 492 sessions in total. SXSW EDU will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. It takes place around March 9 to 12, every year.

• FETC

This January, the Future of Education Technology Conference is celebrating its 40th year in Miami, Fla. More than 10,000 people attended the 600+ sessions at the 39th edition.

• EDUCAUSE

EDUCAUSE is “advancing education through information technology.” In the next conference on October 26-29 in 2020, the org expects 4,000 or so to be in attendance in Boston.

• Spring CUE

Spring CUE is the longest-running, most significant annual event on the West Coast. It has been in existence for the last 40 years. The next event is to be held in 2020 March 19-21, and it expects over 5,000 attendees.
