A report from Education Design Labs, which took five years of work, summarizes four models for colleges and universities to stay pertinent. Administrators can go through each model and choose the one that best fits their organizations to create a modern culture that fits in with the altering demands in higher education.

To stay in sync with the next-generation students and graduates, organizations are required to change the approach of their education. The four models below will help schools and colleges in doing so.

Platform Facilitator: Most of the tools and applications that the students today use are customizable, for example, be it ordering food or product. So, in the wake of employing new things, education will also see a change in its system. Some universities may begin distributing course materials, and others will be the content providing platforms like licensed courses, certificates, experiences, and other services.

Experiential Curator: Institutions adopting experiential curator representation will benefit from progressing data analytics tools along with video conferencing to widen the reach of their educational offerings beyond classroom walls. Experiential curators will utilize hybrid and online education, advances in assessments to measure, provide, and certify the transformative experiences remote to the classroom.

Learning Certifier: Universities taking up the learning certifier model will couple mobile phone technology with information dashboards where pupils can add micro-credentials. Outdoor experiences such as internships and other extracurricular activities can be collected and marked o the panel to provide employers with evidence of the graduate’s education occurrences which could help them make in fully developed employees.

Workforce Integrator: Workforce integrators set up business partnerships to build curriculum and offer additional activities, such as hackathon events, where students can make connections with potential employers. These collaborations also help students gain the skills required for their jobs.
